INNOVATIONS DONE BY STUDENTS IN NIGERIA.

Nigerian students are so creative. We have students in primary schools already constructing mobile machines with little resources, it is really amazing how much effort is put into something that benefits all. Students possess unfathomable potentials.  The northern part of Nigeria is majorly the ignorant part of the country and the little percent of students that are serious in education have been able to produce meaningful inventions as recorded sometime in 2019 where young boys developed a method on how to create effects in movies as well as the invention of moving objects.     Physics is one subject that broadens the mindset, it is very particular in details. The rise to technological advancement is because of the hardwork invested on the knowledge gotten from classrooms and the surroundings. Aside the fact that students go out of their way as little as 15years of age to learn under a boss, to learn how to repair automobiles is overwhelming. We have them in ...

THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE WRITING WAEC AND JAMB IN NIGERIA

There are many factors involved in passing JAMB. Factors like the choice of institution, course of study, the tuition fee to mention a few. It determines the admission into the institution unlike the WAEC result that can be used in any West African country, the JAMB result can only be used in Nigeria. We have other independent bodies that do not use JAMB like the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) that deals with only your capability for one year and sets an examination that takes you straight to 200 level in the university of your choice when you pass it. There's also a program called Pre-degree, as the name implies, it's a one year program that trains students in preparation of what to see and meet in the university, after the one year teachings, examination would be conducted and students would be asked to write JAMB. The addition of their JAMB score and pre-degree score with plenty of processes along the way would determine if students are qualified f...

HOW TO SUCCESSFULLY PASS WAEC AND JAMB IN NIGERIA

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) and Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) are bodies in the educational sector that forsees the affairs of procurement of gaining admission. The examinations might appear to be tough because there are cases when students write them more than once. If you choose a course and do not meet the criteria (waec is also known as o'level, it consists of different subjects that aligns with your course), you would have no choice than to sit for the exam again till you pass all subjects required. There are courses that requires only one sitting (you must pass all the subjects at once) while some can do with two sittings (you can merge two results of different year or different examination bodies like NECO).              Jamb can prove to be very tough as well as it requires you passing a particular score or cut off mark(as it is popularly known), thereby, making students write the...

HOW TO CONTROL MOOD SWINGS WHILE IN SCHOOL IN NIGERIA

There are good days and bad days as well. The days you would be happy for no reason and vice versa. It is quite normal for students to have mood swings because it's not easy trying to master all the courses and still keep a firm grade. You could feel like screaming, it's very expected because the system is quite stressful, making you exceed your limit and going to extra miles to fulfill the desired result.    Ignorance is more expensive than education, hence, it should be a drive for prosperity. Thinking about failure alone is exhausting but the thoughts of being ignorant is fearful. It takes a lot to finish strong and when running the last lap of your years in school, the final year, there's this relaxation that comes with it.  DEALING WITH MOOD SWINGS.    It's necessary for you to know how to handle mood swings so it won't take the better use of you in the future. It is quite confusing to understand what you feel at times due to stress and pr...

All YOU NEEDED TO BE THE BEST IN NIGERIA SCHOOLS

We have 7 days in a week and out of the 7 days, school demands 5 days from students. From nurturing talents, be it writing, singing, photography, etc., to keeping up to timetables can be a pain in the neck.     It is very common in an institution for students to have carryovers, carryovers are courses that students failed in the previous semester(we have 2 semesters in a session) and are entitled to sit for in the next session. Of course, there'd be a clash of activities. With so much preparations for examination, the pain of seeing carryovers make students act rashly, some would cry and some could go to the extreme by commiting suicide. It is well known that tension is one of the thing every student would feel immediately result is being pasted but that doesn't stop the enjoyment that comes with writing the last paper of the examination period.    Looking at it from the perspective of talents, you could tell that there wouldn't be enough time to nu...

UNDERSTANDING THE FOUR WALLS OF NIGERIA SCHOOL.

Growing up and having professional dreams of having to wear a coverall, wig, labcoat and white collared shirt. Every dream starts with education.  Education is the best legacy, going through the "pampering" stages of pre-primary, "welcoming" stages of primary, "exhausting" stages of secondary school and the "stimulating" stages of the university/polytechnic.    The joy of going to school in the mornings, the pride on mama's face whilst dressing her lads for the day's job, the extra mile teachers went through to make younger ones understand and the steady grins on faces when the closing bell is being rung made childhood fun.     Of course, the four walls of the school could be tiring and boring but the spark in tummies when discovering new things shine brighter than the stars. Nigerian educational system is such that every students would be stretched to his or her full capacity coupled with the harsh environment and weather; the population...

NECESSARY INFORMATION YOU NEED WHILE ENBARKING ON FIELD TRIPS IN NIGERIA.

In as much as the classroom is important, field work is as important. The system gives rise to opportunities for students to function well practically. We have different departments in the school and they have their different field works. A field trip is a journey to sites related to the choice of course, it has to do with the practical use of what has been taught in the classroom.  Field trips exposes not only the mind to the beauty of the course but the body to the joy and stress that comes with it, making students prepare beforehand. It is so essential because some organizations are only interested in the practical aspects and not necessarily the theoretical aspects. The weather of the location (where the field trip is situated) can be a major factor as well as availability of food because it might not really be a one-day stay. The following must be taken note of when going on a field trip: 1. TAKE PROPER CLOTHING.       You cannot predict the weather, so asi...
